LAURA GRECKA is the soloist of the Latvian National Opera since 2010. She graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, class of Prof. Lilija Greidāne, in 2009, and received her Master degree in the Maastricht Academy of Music, class of prof. Axel Everaert, in 2013. Singer made her debut at the Latvian National Opera in the role of Fenena (Verdi’s Nabucco), in 2010. At the LNO her repertoire includes also such roles as The Mistress of the Novices (Puccini’s Suor Angelica), Suzuki (Puccini’s Madama Butterfly), Smeraldina and Nicoletta (Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges), Cherubino (Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro), Olga (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin), Siébel (Gounod’s Faust), Mercédès (Bizet’s Carmen), Poet (Ešenvalds’ The Immured), Mother Marie (Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites), Polina (Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades), Tisbe (Puccini’s La Cenerentola), among others. Laura Grecka has sung with the Vidzeme’s Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonietta Riga, and Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. She has participated in the Festival of Kremerata Baltica, Sacred Music Festival and Early Music Festival, among others. She has performed in Norway, Belgium, Germany, and Netherlands. Laura Grecka sang Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen in the Concertgebouw, in 2012.
