Mezzo-soprano ANNA AMANDA STOLERE gained her first professional experience on the stage of the Latvian National Opera in childhood, performing the role of Tina in the 2014 production Let’s Make an Opera! The Little Sweep with music by Benjamin Britten. The young artist is a laureate of several international competitions, including 1st place in the VI International Alīda Vāne Singing Competition (2020), 2nd place in the V International Giulio Perotti Singing Competition in Germany (2017), 3rd place in the XIV International Viru Ooper Singing Competition in Estonia (2019), and a finalist in the VI International SGSM Singing Competition in Slovenia (2024).
Anna Amanda Stolere received her musical education at the Riga Cathedral Choir School and Jāzeps Mediņš Riga 1st Music School. In 2023, she obtained a bachelor's degree from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. Alongside her studies, she worked as a choir artist with the Latvian National Opera Choir. Since 2022, she has been pursuing a bachelor's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. She has further developed her skills in masterclasses with Marina Rebeka, Silvana Bazzoni-Bartoli, and through the Mascarade Talent Pathway programme.
At the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, she has performed the role of Dorabella in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Così fan tutte and the role of The Poet in Philipp Busmann’s opera Reigen. She has sung arias from operas by composers such as Charles Gounod, Samuel Barber, George Frideric Handel, Henry Purcell, Richard Strauss, and others. In collaboration with pianist Katrīna Kroja, organist Jana Zariņa, and guitarist José Carlos Carreiro, she has presented several solo programs. Additionally, she has performed the alto solo in Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and the solo in Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Lobgesang in Graz.
