Music by Jochan Sebastian Bach, Iannis Xenakis and Avet Terterian

Alla Sigalova – one of Russia’s brightest ballet faces and internationally recognised contemporary choreographers – presents her brand new, provocative ballet production.It is inspired by Shakespeare’s classic story of the Venetian Moor Othello, who kills his lover in a jealous rage. Expressive choreography tells the story of the emotions every one of us experiences.This particular production takes music that melds modern with classic and established values – the musical works of baroque master Bach are woven together with music by 20th century innovators Xenakis and Terterian.Recorded music is used in the performance.

Othello has recieved Latvijas Gāze annual award as the Best new production of the Season 2012/2013.
