MĀRTIŅŠ ZVĪGULIS is a Latvian tenor who primarily participates in Latvia's musical life as a concert tenor in oratorios, masses, and other large-scale compositions. He regularly performs in various classical and sacred music concerts in Latvia, including chamber music and church music events. His collaboration with the Latvian National Opera and Ballet (LNOB) began in 2023, when he performed a role in Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.
The majority of the tenor’s repertoire consists of Baroque-era passions, masses, oratorios, and cantatas (J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel). However, his concert programs often include traditional opera arias and large-scale works (W.A. Mozart, G. Verdi, C. Gounod, and others). A significant part of Mārtiņš Zvīgulis’s repertoire is dedicated to the works of Latvian composers as well as sacred music pieces. He also participates in thematic concert cycles focusing on examples of Baroque, Romantic, and 20th-century music.
He graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA) with a degree in conducting and has further refined his skills by working with various vocal coaches, conductors, and performing in international and local festivals.
