Marco Jentzsch

Tenors

The charismatic German tenor MARCO JENTZSCH made his debut in Cologne in 2009 as Stolzing in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, followed by productions of the same work at the Komische Oper Berlin and at the Glyndebourne Festival in 2011. The Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam invited him to sing Erik in Der Fliegende Holländer in 2010. Shortly afterwards he sang Froh in Das Rheingold at La Scala Milan under Daniel Barenboim, followed by the same production at the Staatsoper Berlin.

Roles such as Erik, Parsifal, Lohengrin, Max, Peter Grimes, Tambourmajor and Bacchus have taken Marco Jentzsch to the State Operas of Hanover and Hamburg, the Cologne Opera, the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv (under the direction of Zubin Mehta), Zurich and Basel, Wiesbaden, the Leipzig Opera and the Semperoper Dresden. In 2019/20 he made his debut as Tannhäuser at the Klagenfurt Theatre. The 21/22 and 22/23 seasons include Tristan und Isolde in Wiesbaden and at the Mākslas Festivāl Cēsis in Latvia. 23/24 he appeared as Parsifal at the Hanover State Theatre, followed by Florestan in Fidelio
at the Berlin State Opera, Brahms' Rinaldo in Warsaw, Siegmund in Walküre in Wiesbaden and at the Erl Festival and, 24/25, in a new production of Tannhäuser at the Frankfurt Opera, as Erik im Der Fliegende Holländer in Zurich and also as Tannhäuser at the Wagner Festival in Budapest.

25/26 he will sing concerts with the 9th Beethoven with the Duisburg Philharmonic under Stefan Blunier, Herodes im Salome in Riga, Tristan in a revival of Tristan und Isolde in Frankfurt as well as, 26/27, Lohengrin in Linz, a revival of Tannhäuser and Siegmund in Die Walküre, both at the Frankfurt Opera.
