Stanislav Leontiev

Tenor

Stanislav Leontiev was born in Leningrad. In 1995 he graduated from the Glinka Choral School of the Academic Capella and from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2000. Formerly a soloist at the Zazerkalye theatre, he joined the Mariinsky Opera Company in the 2010–2011 season.

Stanislav Leontiev is a prize-winner at the III St Petersburg All-Russian Opera Singers’ Competition (St Petersburg, 2007), diploma-recipient at the International Montserrat Caballé Opera Singers’ Competition (Andorra, 2010), diploma-recipient at the International Three Centuries of Romance Competition (St Petersburg, 2008), diploma-recipient at the II International Rimsky-Korsakov Young Opera Singers’ Competition (St Petersburg, 2006), diploma-recipient at the II St Petersburg All-Russian Opera Singers’ Competition (St Petersburg, 2005).

His repertoire at includes Minion (Khovanshchina), Misail (Boris Godunov), Monsieur Trique (Eugeny Onegin), Mikola (Semyon Kotko), Seliphan (Dead Souls), Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Don Bazilio (Le nozze di Figaro), Messenger (Aida), Duke of Mantua (Rigoletto), Malcolm (Macbeth), Shepherd (Oedipus Rex), Iopas (Les Troyens), Flute (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Count Hauk-Šendorf (The Makropulos Affair) etc.
