Krista Dzudzilo is a visual artist. She got her Bachelor’s degree in fine art, and her Master’s degree in visual communication at the Art Academy of Latvia. She primarily works in a creative tandem with Reinis Dzudzilo, and has created the costumes for over 20 productions at various Latvian theatres and opera. Krista has been nominated for the Latvian Theatre Award, Spēlmaņu nakts, multiple times as Costume Designer of the Year, and has won once. She has participated in contemporary art group shows and projects, as well as created solo shows. Krista has also been nominated for the Art Award, Purvīša balva, for her video installation Skaidrība. She has had eight solo shows from which the last few were co-created with Reinis Dzudzilo. In her visual art projects, she uses modes of expression borrowed from scenography, like an intense dramaturgy of space, and an active collaboration with the viewer. In 2017 Krista and Reinis created the performance Patētiskā. Par redzamo valodu at the International Festival of Contemporary Theatre, Homo Novus.
