LINDA MĪĻĀ is a graduate of the Latvian Academy of Culture’s programme in Contemporary Dance Studies (2007). Since 2009 she has worked as the choreographer for the Valmiera Drama Theatre, working with directors such as Viesturs Meikšāns, Varis Brasla, Oļģerts Kroders and Reinis Suhanovs. She is a three-time nominee for the Spēlmaņu nakts Award as the Choreographer of the Year for her work on Valmiera Drama Theatre’s Plūdi un saulgrieži Straumēnu skaņās (2010), Krāsainās pasakas (2011) and Jāzeps un viņa brāļi (2023). She also choreographed Giuseppe Verdi’s Macbeth (2015) for the Latvian National Opera, which earned her a third nomination for the Spēlmaņu nakts Award, as well as Charles Goudon’s Faust (2016) directed by Aik Karapetian and Marcelo Lombardero's production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Don Giovanni (2022).
