Italian ballet dancer NICOLETTA MANNI was trained at the La Scala Ballet School, where she graduated in 2009. At 17 she joined Staatsballet Berlin, where she stayed for three seasons. In 2013, she returned to La Scala Ballet company, having her debut in Myrtha (Giselle) and Odette/Odile (Rudolf Nureyev’s Swan Lake). One year later she was promoted to Principal Dancer of La Scala Ballet. Since then, she has danced all the main roles and performed many new creations, as well as masterpieces of the classical repertoire in Milan and abroad during Tours. Her repertoire includes Kitri and the Queen of the dryads in Nureyev’s Don Quixote, Aurora and Lilac Fairy in Ratmansky’s Sleeping Beauty, Odette/Odile in Ratmansky’s Swan Lake, title roles in Kenneth MacMillan’s L’histoire de Manon and Romeo and Juliet, as well as roles in Ratmansky’s Russian Season and Concerto DSCH, George Balanchine’s Jewels (Diamons and Rubies), Roland Petit’s Pink Floyd Ballet and Jeune home et la Mort, Heins Spoerli’s Cello Suite, Nacho Duato’s Nutcracker, Mauro Bigonzetti’s Cinderella, Massimiliano Volpini’s The Lovers Garden, among other. Nicoletta Manni was awarded Danza&Danza Award as best female dancer of 2014. She is the first Italian dancer to be nominated for the prestigious Benois de la Danse in 2015 and she was named as a star in the making by the German magazine Tanz. Nicoletta has been frequently invited to perform at International Ballet Galas, and since 2014, she has been Roberto Bolle’s partner in Roberto Bolle & Friends.
