Bogdan Verbovoy

BOGDAN VERBOVOY was born in Kazakhstan. He received his ballet education at the Alexander Seleznev Choreographic School in Almaty and later continued his studies at the Kazakh National Academy of Arts.

Verbovoy began his professional career with the Abay Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Almaty in 2020, where he quickly progressed through the ranks: he was promoted to Coryphée in 2022, Soloist in 2023 and First Soloist in 2024. Since 2025 he has been engaged as a First Soloist with the Polish National Ballet in Warsaw. His repertoire includes leading roles in major classical ballets such as Swan Lake (Prince Siegfried), Giselle (Albrecht), Don Quixote (Basilio), Romeo and Juliet (Romeo and Paris), La Bayadère (Golden Idol), Le Corsaire (Ali) and The Sleeping Beauty (Blue Bird), as well as roles in productions such as Anna Karenina, Spartacus, Chopiniana and The Fountain of Bakhchisarai.

A laureate of several international ballet competitions, Verbovoy has received awards at the World Ballet Trial in Tokyo and the World Ballet Grand Prix in Moscow, among others, and was nominated for the prestigious Benois de la Danse prize in 2023.
