CHINARA ALIZADE currently is the Principal of the Polish National Ballet. From 2005 to 2010 she was the artist and later on a Soloist of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. Dancer graduated from the Academy of Dance at Nesterova’s Humanitarian University, Moscow (1998) and Moscow State Choreographic Academy (2005).
Award winner of various international competitions, including the Gold Medal (junior group) from the International Ballet Competition in Moscow (2005), the International Ballet Prize Star from Gilbert Albert and Nina Ananishvili in Tbilisi (2013) and Gold Medal from the Asian Grand Prix Competition in Hong Kong (2015). In 2012, she received the title of Merited Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Her repertoire includes many leading roles of the classical ballets, including Kitri and Juanita in Don Quixote, Nikiya in La Bayadère Princess Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Médora in Le Corsaire, title role in Giselle and Odetta-Odile in Swan Lake. Chinara Alizade has danced many reading roles in Krzysztof Pastor’s ballets, like Adagio & Scherzo, Casanova in Warsaw, Bolero, The Tempest and Dracula, among others. She has danced also in the works of Wayne McGregor, John Neumeier, Kenneth MacMillan and other contemporary choreographers. As guest artist Chinara has participated in concerts in Vilnius, Balcelona and Minsk, as well as the International Ballet Festival Ballet Stars in Jūrmala.
