ROMĀNS POĻISADOVS began his vocal career studying under J.Tomgorova-Poseļska, parallel to his studies in architecture at the Riga Polytechnic Institute. After graduating from RPI in 1990, Poļisadovs entered the Vocal Department at the Latvian Academy of Music. From 1995 to 1997, he studied in the graduate program at the Weimar Academy of Music.
Romāns Poļisadovs has been a soloist at the Latvian National Opera since 1994. His vocal repertoire includes Mozart's Requiem Mass in D Minor and Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem. In 2002 Poļisadovs won first place in a vocal competition at the 4th International Music Festival in Rhodes, Greece. He has performed solo concerts in Rīga, Moscow, and Paris.
In February 2010, he made his house debut at Milan La Scala as the Commendatore in Mozart's Don Giovanni.
