ANNA HEINRIHSONE is a graduate of the Faculty of Stage Design at the Art Academy of Latvia. She has worked on costumes and set design for productions in professional theatres throughout Latvia since 1995, and has worked alongside many of Latvia’s leading directors. Anna Heinrihsone has worked on costumes for director Viesturs Meikšāns’ productions at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre, Rēzija Kalniņa’s productions at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre and with Indra Roga at the Vanemiune Theatre in Tartu. She is a two-time recipient of the Spēlmaņu nakts Latvian Theatre Award for the Best Theatre Costume Designer of the Year (2000 and 2012). Heinrihsone has also held over ten solo exhibitions in Riga, Cēsis and Liepāja, has participated in numerous group exhibitions and has been the designer behind notable exhibits at the Latvian National Museum of Art, the Riga Film Museum, the Riga Art Space, the Žanis Lipke Museum and elsewhere. Her work can be found at the LNMM, the Swedbank Contemporary Art Collection, the Jānis Zuzāns Contemporary Art Collection and the Kumu Art Museum in Tallinn.
