Soprano Inga Šļubovska-Kancēviča, mezzo-soprano Irma Pavāre, tenor Mārtiņš Šmaukstelis, bass Edgars Ošleja and pianist Ilze Ozoliņa invite you to a concert showcasing the rich and diverse offering of Latvian vocal chamber music across the turn of the centuries.
The programme features new works, including the premiere of the song cycle by Anna Veismane, alongside slightly earlier compositions by Roberts Liede, Arturs Maskats and Pēteris Plakidis. Classical pieces by Emīls Dārziņš will also be performed in honour of the composer’s 150th birthday.
The event will be a dialogue between Latvian music of the past and present – a collaboration where classical treasures meet contemporary sounds.
The concert will be hosted by Liene Jakovļeva.
