Under the leadership of the conductor Andris Nelsons, the Boston Symphony Orchestra will be completing its 2025 tour, dedicated to the works of the composer Dmitri Shostakovich. The orchestra will perform in Vienna, Prague, Leipzig and – for the first time – in Riga for two nights with two separate programmes. Touring with the orchestra is the outstanding Latvian violinist Baiba Skride, who will perform Violin Concerto No. 1 by Shostakovich. Andris Nelsons, recognised as one of the greatest interpreters of music by Dmitri Shostakovich, has just completed his tenth season as the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Music Director. He will be returning to his native city, accompanied by this exceptional collective of musicians.
Ticket sales for the Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts will begin on December 18 on the "Biļešu Paradīze" website.
