In the current season THEODORE BROWNE, the tenor of a great promise, performs as Camille de Rosillon in Die lustige Witwe and various roles in L'incoronazione di Poppea at Opernhaus Wuppertal, Prince Ramiro at La Cenerentola at Wroclaw Opera and Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte at Innsbruck Tiroler Landestheater. At the concert stage Theodore will participate in Stabat Mater with Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the previous seasons, Theodore starred as Conte di Libenskof in Il Viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival Pesaro, Lindoro in L'italiana in Algeri and Tamino in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte at the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck. He also appeared at Alte Oper Frankfurt, Sopot Summer Festival, Weilburg Castle Festival, Nymphenburg Castle and Rheingau Musik Festival among others.
His wide-ranging repertoire includes works by Rossini, Mozart, Bach, Britten, Donizetti and Bellini.
Theodore is the winner and laureate of several competitions, including the International Music Competition of the Cologne University of Music and Dance 2014, the National Singing Competition 2016, the International Ebe Stignani Competizione Imola 2018, the International Singing Competition Meistersinger von Nürnberg 2018 and the Queen Sonia International Music Competition 2019.
Theodore Browne was born in Manchester (Great Britain) and grew up in Germany as the son of English and South African parents. He studies in Prof. Thomas Heyer's class at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. Being vocally coached by Camilla Ueberschaer and Raina Kabaivanska, he has received further valuable input from Helmut Deutsch, Ernesto Palacio, Nayden Todorov and Eugen Wangler.
