-8 is a video artist and set designer who creates visual solutions for theatre, opera, concerts, fashion shows, and award ceremonies. His works combine spatial design, visual aesthetics, and experiential dramaturgy.

He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in New Media Art and has completed a scenography lecture course with Andris Freibergs and Monika Pormale.

Since 2009, he has worked on numerous stage productions in theatres, operas, concert halls, and other venues. He has also participated in various group exhibitions and held a solo exhibition. He has been nominated four times for the Spēlmaņu Nakts Award in the category of Video Artist of the Year in Latvian Theatre and has received international recognition in a theatre poster competition
