Fabien Lédé

Set, Lighting and Video Designer

FABIEN LÉDÉ is a French visual artist and a scenographer designing psychoactive environments, multilayered 3D landscapes and installations for theatres, opera houses and art spaces.

Fascinated by more-than-human nature, he combines DIY methods with intuitive practices and technology. His environments function as living organisms and core architectures. By treating the space/stage as a multidimensional ecosystem, he invites audiences to experience a deeper level of perception where the digital and physical realms converge. His work is an ongoing exploration of how structures, light and movements can reveal the invisible, interconnected rhythms of nature around us, rather than distancing us from it.

Studied at the Academy of Art in Orléans and at the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław.

He has received the Golden Cross of the Stage for Best Set Design in Lithuania twice (in 2022 and 2024), the Visual Artist of the Year prize at the Latvian Theatre Awards (in 2022), and the Grand Prix for Best Scenography in Poland twice (in 2023 and 2024).

He has collaborated with Mariusz Treliński, Łukasz Twarkowski, Krzysztof Skonieczny, Grzegorz Jarzyna and Maja Kleczewska, among others. He has worked at the Opéra National de Lyon, the Warsaw National Opera, the Schauspiel Hannover, the Munich Kammerspiele, the Ruhrtriennale, the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre in Vilnius, the Dailes Theatre in Riga, the TR Warszawa, the Studio Theatre and the Teatr Powszechny in Warsaw, the BWA Galleries, the Wroclaw Contemporary Museum, and with the New Horizons International Film Festival.
