Ballet dancer and choreographer ARTEM SHOSHYN graduated from the Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University in Volyn, where he received higher education in the field of study "ballet master-choreographer, ballet actor" (2015). In 2015-2016 he was perfecting professional skills abroad, where he finished Summer Intensive in Zurich (Switzerland) and Summer Intensive in the leading theatre of modern choreography in Europe Nederlands Dans Theatre the Hague (the Netherlands). From 2010 to 2011, he was a soloist in St. Petersburg State Male Ballet by Valery Mikhailovsky. In 2013, he founded the Young Ballet of Volyn and became its artistic director. From the same year, he has been performing in the troupe of the Kyiv Modern-Ballet. From 2018, he is a ballet soloist of the Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre for Children and Youth. Has toured in Belgium, Spain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Romania, Belarus, Moldova and the cities of Ukraine. In 2015, he debuted as a choreographer-director of one-act ballet Closer than Love. Since then, he’s regularly staging his own works in various theatres of Ukraine.
Artem Shoshyn is the Ukraine’s Honoured Artist and laureate of international competitions. Both as a dancer and choreographer, he has gained success in the International Contest in Modern Dance ID Franking competition-European Cup in Yalta, the ІІ International Contest of Classical and Modern Choreography MYSL-POTOK, the International Festival of Modern Choreography IFMC in Vitebsk, Belarus, of the ІІ International Competition of Young Choreographers Ballet fest in Lviv, Ukraine, the International Ballet and Contemporary Dance Competition Domenico Modugno in Lecce, Italy, the International Contest of Young choreographers Dance generation, the International Ballet Artists’ Competition in Tallinn, Estonia and the IV International Baltic Ballet Competition in Riga.
In 2012, he was a finalist of the STB project Tancyuyut Vsi-5.
