Māris Sējāns

MĀRIS SĒJĀNS has been the Deputy Head of the Lighting Department at LNOB since 2018, having performed the duties of a lighting electrician in this theatre since 2006. He has created the lighting design for the LNO production of the opera Amahl and the Night Visitors (2022), as well as assisted to lighting designers A.J. Weissbard, Kevin Wyn-Jones, Nicolas Gilli, and Valerio Tiberi, among others.

Māris Sējāns has designed lighting for numerous ambitious vocal-symphonic and popular music concerts and performances, including three Great Music Award ceremonies (2020-2022), anniversary concert of Zigmars Liepiņš at the Latvian National Opera (2022), the performance of Zigmars Liepiņš' opera Parīzes Dievmātes katedrāle at the Dzintari Concert Hall (2023), Imants Ramins' children's opera Lakstīgala at the Great Guild and the Cēsis Concert Hall (2018), and the song concert Uku-Lele (2023). He has also created lighting design for the Latvian Post-Folklore Festival Gaviles at the Spīķeri Concert Hall (2016-2018).
