Daniils Kuzmins recently earned his bachelor’s degree from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where his roles included Malatesta in Don Pasquale and Gilfen in Eugene d'Albert’s Die Abreise. He also appeared in recital there, performing Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen. He has performed at the 2019 Musical August Festival in Daugavpils and the St. Lucia’s Day concert in Riga and he was a soloist in Michel-Richard de Lalande’s Les fontaines de Versailles at the Riga Early Music Center. He has participated in master classes with baritone Benjamin Appl, conductor Ekhart Wycik, mezzo-soprano Irina Dolzhenko and soprano Renée Fleming. In 2022, he participated in the prestigeous International competition Operalia.
