Estonian maestro Arvo Volmer will conduct "La Bohème" on January 23

On January 23 at 3pm the Latvian National Orchestra and soloists will perform the opera "La Bohème" by Giacomo Puccini under the baton of the Estonian conductor Arvo Volmer. This is the first time maestro Volmer is working at our Opera house.

Arvo Volmer is widely acclaimed for his powerful performances in both opera and concert. Particularly well-known are his interpretations of Mahler and Sibelius, German, Nordic and Russian composers and contemporary music. Currently he is the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Estonian National Opera. Previously has been the Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of Finland’s Oulu Symphony Orchestra, the Music Director of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Principal conductor of The Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trentino. Conductor has worked with many prominent world theatres and opera houses.
