52 Applications Received for “Elīna Garanča. Young Baltic Voices” Programme
A total of 52 applications have been received for the Latvian National Opera and Ballet’s newly established programme for emerging vocalists, Elīna Garanča. Young Baltic Voices.
In the coming weeks, all applications will be carefully evaluated, and on 15 April the candidates selected for the next round will be announced. Those selected will be invited to take part in auditions, which will take place this May at the Latvian National Opera.
Elīna Garanča. Young Baltic Voices is the first and only programme of its kind in the Baltic region, created to support the development of young vocal talent. Its aim is to provide participants with practical experience, professional mentorship, and the essential skills needed to build an international career.
Over the course of one season – from September to June – participants will engage in an intensive programme of training and professional practice, working closely with experienced mentors and gaining valuable stage experience within a professional opera company.
The programme will admit four young vocalists from the Baltic states.
